Betting on Leicestershire v Lancashire

The first of the semi finals of this year’s Friends Life T20 sees two adversaries from the North Group cross swords once again as Leicester play Lancashire for the right to progress to the grand final itself.

Leicestershire just scraped through to the qualifying rounds and while Lancashire made a powerful start to their campaign, they fell away alarmingly and only just made it through themselves.

As far as the betting for this tie is concerned, a bet on a win for Leicester is available at a best price of 5/6 with Sporting Bet while most bookmakers have Lancashire at even money with the exception of William Hill who offer the best price for this gamble at 11/10.

Both teams were unfancied in the semi finals before winning emphatically and as with the other match between Hampshire and Somerset, this is so tough to call that we’re going to wait until the toss before looking at some betting in play. Whoever wins the toss should win the match providing they make the right decision.

As far as the highest scoring batsmen on either side is concerned, we’re going to bet on James Taylor to put his low score on England debut behind him to lead the way here and you can get a best priced gamble of 5/1 with Blue SQ or Totesport. However, don’t rule out Paul Nixon marking an emotional farewell to cricket with a big score and a bet here will get you 9/1 with Victor Chandler.

As for Lancashire, a bet on Paul Horton at 11/2 with Bet 365 could be a good call but as for the result itself, it could all be down to the toss of a coin.
